Holding It All Together
For nearly twenty years, I built a corporate career that from the outside, looked impressive. I appeared confident, capable and in control. It seemed I had everything mapped out.
I knew how to deliver, perform and keep things moving forward. By most standards, it was success.
But success on the surface doesn’t always reflect what’s happening underneath.
Internally, anxiety drove more than I wanted to admit. Imposter syndrome left me questioning whether I truly deserved my position, and perfectionism kept the pressure high.
I mentored and supported others with ease — and I loved that part of my work. But I was also over-giving, people-pleasing and ignoring my own needs. Not just professionally, but personally too.
Eventually, I realised I couldn’t continue living in a way that felt so disconnected.
Something had to change.
The Turning Point
I left my corporate career to start a business — something I had always told myself I wanted, but in truth, it wasn’t fully my vision. It was my partner’s dream, and I allowed myself to be carried along with it.
When the relationship ended, the business ended too. Everything I had been suppressing for years surfaced at once. I felt like I had failed. But I also knew I couldn’t blame circumstances. I had chosen that path — and I needed to understand why.
For the first time, I faced an uncomfortable truth: it wasn’t ability I lacked — it was self-trust.
The choices I made when I doubted myself.
The boundaries I didn’t set.
The beliefs I held about what I was worth.
Those patterns had shaped my career, my relationships and my life.
That realisation changed everything.
Working at the Root
I became deeply curious about why capable women repeat patterns they know aren’t serving them. The answer wasn’t willpower — it was the subconscious beliefs shaping their choices.
The beliefs we absorb early in life influence what we expect, what we accept, and what we believe we deserve. Until those beliefs shift, those patterns continue.
When I looked honestly at my own life, I saw the thread — the need to perform, avoid disappointing others, and earn approval through achievement. Those patterns began early and carried through into adulthood.
I trained as a mindset coach and later qualified as a Rapid Transformational Therapist. Through that work, I uncovered the beliefs that had been shaping my decisions, the pressure I placed on myself, and how I saw my own worth.
When you work at the root, things begin to shift.

- Boundaries become stronger.
- Self-trust becomes steadier.
Life stops feeling like something you’re constantly managing — and starts feeling like something you’re consciously shaping.
